The state of Florida recently approved the use of medical marijuana for eleven medical problems. Medical marijuana can be used to relieve your chronic pain and comes in many forms, including capsules, boils, pills, suppositories, and topical ointments, among others.

This precise list of 11 medical conditions includes,

  • AIDS (positive status)
  • Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  • Cancer
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Epilepsy
  • Glaucoma
  • HIV (Positive Status)
  • Multiple sclerosis (MS)
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • A terminal condition that is diagnosed by a physician other than the qualified physician issuing the physician certification Chronic Pain (Nonmalignant).

There is also a special category for medical conditions that are similar to those listed above. Medical marijuana generally refers to marijuana and has two parts, cannabinoids, and THC. The cannabinoids are anti-inflammatory, and the THC makes you high or sleepy if use consume too much. Tiny amounts of THC can make anti-inflammatory properties much greater. At Sinclair Healthcare, we can adjust the ratio of cannabinoids and THC in order to prevent you from getting high or sleepy while still being relieved of your pain.
